Acting Auditor General Garnet Harrison today made public two reports on his Office’s audits of the 2012-13 and 2013-14 financial statements for Government ministries, portfolios and offices, as well as statutory authorities and government companies.
The Auditor General's report details the findings in providing an adverse audit opinion on the EPS 30 June 2014 consolidated financial statements and disclaimer of opinion on the Statement of Appropriation.
The Office made public today the report on "Collecting Government Revenues" which identified areas where Government should do more to be efficient in the collection of its revenues. In addition, the report highlights significant problems with how government officials are administering revenue waivers.
The report summarizes the work in this critical area and reports that Government is not doing enough to protect its systems and information from the significant risks and threats from an attack.
The Auditor General, Alastair Swarbrick, made public today a report on the management of the Nation Building Programme that operated from 2009 through early 2013. The report describes a catalogue of issues with the management of the programme and the $13.2 million spent by Government.
