International Fraud Awareness Week is here. Hundreds of businesses, agencies and other entities around the globe will help shine a spotlight on fraud during Fraud Week, Nov. 3-9, 2013 in an effort to promote awareness, detection and prevention. Fraud awareness is critical at a time when organizations around the world lose an estimated 5 percent of their annual revenues to fraud, according to a survey of fraud experts conducted by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). International Fraud Awareness Week encourages business leaders and employees to proactively take steps to minimize the impact of fraud by promoting anti-fraud awareness and education.
The OAG is a supporter of International Fraud Awareness Week and recently prepared an information pamplet "Fraud: Can you afford to ignore it". Please join the OAG in raising awareness of the impact of fraud and encouraging orgaisations to take proactive steps in minimising it.
