Angela joined the Office of the Auditor General in January 2017 as Director of Performance Audit, and has responsibility for the performance audit practice.
Angela has over 25 years public sector audit experience, covering both performance and financial audit. She joined the Office from Audit Scotland, where she was an Assistant Director, latterly holding a joint portfolio of performance and financial audit work in the economic development, skills and justice sectors. Before that she was Assistant Director for central government performance audits, covering areas such as public finances, investment, justice and the environment. She previously carried out both performance and financial audits in the health sector.
Angela is a CIPFA qualified accountant and has represented previous employers on various CIPFA committees. Outside of work, she has held various voluntary organisations, most recently being Treasurer of Smart Works Edinburgh, a new charity set up to help women in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas get back in to work. Angela is an avid Pilates enthusiast and is currently training to be a Pilates teacher.
Patrick joined the Office of the Auditor General in March 2002 as a Senior Auditor, moving to the post of Audit Manager in 2006 and Financial Audit Principal in 2012. As the Financial Audit Principal he has responsibility for the in-house financial audit practice.
Patrick has over 19 years of audit experience working in the public and private sector in both an external and internal auditor capacity. He began his audit career with KPMG (Barbados) in 1996 after which he worked as the Lead Internal Auditor for a regional manufacturing plant until he took up his post with the Office of the Auditor General Cayman Islands.
In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, he is also a Certified Fraud Examiner, and is certified in Quality Management Auditing.
Patrick is an avid follower of cricket, and enjoys running, swimming and playing squash.
